just my luck
What a lousy week! Sunday night I had the chills which led to a fever and I was still feverish on Monday but still managed to go into work. Uggh. I actually made it through the whole day and the next day the director said she really respected me for doing that so I was glad. But then... last night as I was leaving work my right eye started to bother me and I told a co-worker that I hoped I wasn't getting an infection again, jokingly, and she responded by telling me that my eye looked red. Yikes! Sure enough I woke up this morning with my eye glued shut. I went to the walk-in and yup, I have pink eye. For the second time. In three months. Dammit! Last time I had it was the weekend before Halloween. But it was alot worse that time. I thought I was going to have to go as a pirate for Halloween! It still looks quite scary right now but should be better tomorrow.
It would have been nice to have had the day off but when I called my work they said that another teacher had gone home sick. This ALWAYS happens to me. The rare time I would actually call in sick or go home early, someone else always beats me to it. Argh!
Anyway, for the girls who went to the movies last night - its a good thing I didn't end up going! It would have been difficult to watch the screen with one good eye. :( But I hope you all had fun!
