Did you ever have one of those? I did this morning. And yeah, it was a hard decision to make. But, I made it and I'm happy (for the most part) with it. Lemme fill you in:
6:30 am: baby is crying
6:40 am: nurse baby
7:20 am: baby is still crying
7:30 am: I concede, get up with baby
7:35 am: make much-needed coffee (baby is still crying)
7:45 am: put baby in swing, is quiet for 20 blessed minutes
8:15 am: can't handle crying anymore, wake up hubbie and hand over the wailing child
8:25 am: hubbie hands wailing child back (rolls eyes), goes back to bed
8:30 am: sip now cold coffee while baby cries
8:45 am: nurse baby again
8:55 am: try and put baby in his crib, baby promptly wakes up and starts crying (again)
9:00 am: put baby on floor, give him Little Caeser's ad to play with
9:05 am: baby is crying again (we spend the next half hour this way)
9:35 am: nurse baby again, he starts pooping while he nurses
9:40 am: trying not to gag as he smells worse and worse, but still nursing
9:45 am: falls fast asleep
Yep. And the dilemma? You guessed it! Do I wake him up and change him or let him nap for about an hour in a poopy diaper....ah blessed silence.
