Wine and Politics

Apr 17, 2004 22:01

First I would like to thank the Bulldog Zone for providing my SIS 202 class with free NY Times everyday. I am learning a substantial amount about the world and feel like I am beggining to have a grasp on world conflicts. It is an amazing periodical and makes the Seattle Times seem like diapers that lead to potty training.
So yesterday was an intense day emotionally. I had my big speech yesterday and was overwhelmed by all the support I recieved from my friends and family. I learned so much news about my country that really effected me and made me realize that I should pay closer attention to the tragedies going on over there. The speech got intense and during the question and answer period people began to get into heated discussions that made me feel uncomfortable, b ut it was a good uncomfortable. It was the kind of debate where people defended there point of view with such passion that it made you think twice.
Afterwords we went to dinner with the governor and the social worker and it was an amazing conversation of politics. I also got to see my parents interact with them and present their political views in an eloquent manner. So much gratitude and love was said and shown. After all that I needed to get down with my goold old friend alki...

So house party blah blah, body shots, broken blenders, drunken stupor Kiels, prank calls to Rodney, Russel, Rex??? What was his name Maria? It all ended good.

Thank you Maria for coming and supporting me and thank you megan for your very positive and loving message, I will call you tommorow, and I love you all.
