OK. This is another survey stolen from Jared, except it was in Kyla's LJ first. Ha.
1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
Hooked up with someone, gone to high school. I'd say those are milestones.
2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
No. To tell you the truth I can't remember them. And my resolutions are to lose weight and finish a 2nd novel.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Ashley's mom did.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
None. Utah. Utah is full of Mormons. It is a foreign country in my book.
6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?
Um. A boyfriend.
7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
July 26th, 2003.
September 4th, 2003
November 1st, 2003
November 9th, 2003
December 16th, 2003
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Starting 9th grade. Having 3 guys like me. Hooking up. Getting a solo. Can't choose. Choose for me.
9. What was your biggest failure?
We would be here until this survey in 2005. But here's a few samplers: missing the Concert Choir auditions, screwing up at the winter concert, dumping someone
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I wish. A broken leg equals no gym class. Oh well.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My digital camera, except my parents paid. Clothes.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Anna's. Not Ryan's, who made me cry in April.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Ryan's. George W. Bush's.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Books. Books, books, books, books. And candy.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Ummm. Camp. My birthday. High school?
16. What song will always remind you of 2003?

Went to Utah! YAY! *note the sarcasm*

None.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Yes. I do. Quite a few people

Sloppy Firsts, and the sequel, Second Helpings. The truth is, I read over 700 books in a year, at least. I can't remember that far back.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
That I have a 2 octave range. Didn't even know what a range was before. And me getting a solo.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Well, I sort of knew Ryan already, but we became friends in 2003.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2003?
Expect the worst. That way when it happens, you don't mind as much, and when stuff is good, you're happier.
(That's a Greek philosophy I discovered after I used it for a year. It's called Stoicism--in my textbook.)
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
"Where are you now?
I'm trying to get by
With never knowing at all
What is the chance
of finding you out there?
Or do I have to wait forever?"
freshman year,
surveys,
new year's
