Just written a particularily snotty - read academic response with umpteen citations to funding agency RN who wanted nurses to do something they shouldn't. She pressured our staff, but when we responded with clinical standard of care/practice rationale, they stated they couldn't offer clinical advice. Really. That's no surprise. Said nurses haven't provided clinical care in recent memory and won't take the grief if it causes harm to the patient.
