Not bad for 58
Had a marvelous birthday! Thanks to dear sister mumofalltrades, awesome brother- he watched the dogs, and my flist. Thanks so much to pigwidgeon37 for the stack of pressies - smooches, and morethansirius for the panda and frog/hogwarts song. camillo78 came out of mommylurkdom to wish me a great day and promise me artz, bounces mundungus42 has promised me ficcage - squees, must think of prompt. According to the BBC, I'm well into middle-age. Hear this BBC, I may be in my middle age, but that's not stopping me. Health issues I'm crossing fingers will sort themselves sooner than later. I have plans afoot. In a few years, I'd like to move back to England, probably Oxford area. I'm a dual citizen and have a UK RGN license from when I was there in the late 80's. Seems they need home IV RN's, so that's good. No unsocial hours in a hospital. This will bring me closer to Europe for future travel, near more folks with common interests, near great things to see and do in the UK, best of all near to many fangirls. My trip earlier this year was far too short. I need to sort my finances out, sort the house so it will be self-supporting and potentially income producing - tenants. Then Brambling and Sophie are to be considered. They are older girls, I will wait for them to move on before I do.

My sister made me a wonderful birthday dinner and baked a marvelous cake. Lemon with berry filling. yumyum
Then after we went to pick up the new windows for my bedroom (more about that soon) we had sushi -tempura lunch. Prowled around some thrift shops and hit a great dollar store. Very low key, but fun to spend time with mumofalltrades. She took some pics of me. Here is my new hair cut and dye job- deep red isn't too bad.

This is the Love Boat. Sushi, sashami, tempura, green salad and miso soup. I had a beer, mumofalltrades had saki. A not-for-doggy's bag is in my fridge for lunch tommorrow.
