Worky work very demanding. Supply department shipped a bunch of syringes to patient who needs injections- forgot the damn needles. I left VM for CM re this. Rec'd VM after I sent new order with everything underlined and rewritten in box. "Why are you ordering more syringes?"  I didn't call back because I would have said : Because I can't just shoot the stuff on his skin.  ARRGGH

Pleasant, but not so bright young man with psych dx as well, needs injections. He is on welfare, his meds are $2.00 if he gets them at nearby drugstore. However, if he goes 50km round trip to nearby big town, in "free" community care ride, they are free. Trying to explain to him that this is not a reason to get dr to order at big town pharmacy is just beyond me. Fortunately his father was there today and I was able to pass the whole mess to him. It's not often that patient, case manager and supply departments contrive to drive me batty all at once.

Did manage to get hold of big city surgeon by phone re his patient today. pumps fist  As hard to find as  white blackbirds when you need them.

And what is with my old dear lady patients? One 75, the other 86, wanting to share their sexual issues with me. Really TMI.

Four letters to doctors written, three supply forms faxed. Dogs fed, me fed, one load of laundry done, dishwasher emptied. Burnt pan will have to wait. Put lid on it, so I can't see. Ditto another pot from coughthreeweeksagocough.

Once the laundry is hung to dry, I'm off to bed. Day off Tuesday.

nursing, home, rl, wtf
