While I was gone

The contractors performed a miracle. I now have a working septic. A bit of an anti-climax, considering all the nonsense beforehand. Essentially, they dump a pile of sand, gravel etc- lay pipes on it, dig a hole and put big tank in, hook up pipes to tank, house.  Pile more sand, gravel on top of pipes.  They did the whole job in less than 2 days. Why the F did it take so frigging long to get them to do it. MEN!!!
Very nice guy who drove big shiny Tonka toy was quite clever. He had noticed some large boulders- about 4 feet high on the property. Asked if I wanted him to place them to block cars from driving on septic bed. I was a bit surprised as all the contractors I had suggested this to - had pooh poohed the idea.
Due to the time of year, the finishing of the system will have to wait til spring.

I heard knocking on the door at 7 am - fellows here to finish - had to move my car. Then they did the last bits til spring. Dear brother has done the electric bits. More pics in a few days. I'm kinda knackered from yesterday, work today and nasty sinus congestion.

As you can see, it will be a white Christmas here.

home, brother is awesome
