People who are renting downstairs while their house is being built/installed, told me they were moving in this Saturday. NOT They are coming today!
So dear brother came and we cleared out the building supplies, I packed up all the linens and dishes - as they are using their own. A few bits needed to be installed - towel rails, closet rods in two closets. Pets brother for taking care of that. I've vacuumed, swept, wiped and dusted. Two large bags of garbage somehow materialised.
Upstairs is a tip. Stuff from downstairs, cleaning stuff - waiting to be found homes up here.
Study stuff is half in study- 20% put away, the rest is in my bedroom. New to me bedframe is a loss- doesn't fit- oh well only $20. Must find new one, I can't stand not having a head board.
My back is aching- going to have a mid-day hot bath. People will not be here till later in the afternoon. Hope I have time to do a basic tidy upstairs before then.
Decided that the funds from this will go towards an ipad for me. My Christmas present to myself.
Eta - home after unplanned trip to big town - seller of brass bed emailed me- she was so keen to get rid of it told me to name my own price. It was dark when I went to get it- but it is a real brass bed- very heavy. Very tarnished- so another project, but it will be well worth it.
