Day 19- Item that recalls a loved one
This key and tag were from a cruise my mum and I enjoyed years ago. I was living in Florida and she came for a visit. I have inherited her joy of making plans at the last moment. After a drive around Miami, we somehow ended up at the cruise docks. A few days later we were on the Leonardo DaVinci, enjoying a three-day cruise to the Bahamas.
The first night, she went to the cabin before me. When I had had enough fun at the disco (it was the 70's sue me) I returned to the cabin and was surprised to find her in the upper berth. A queen size woman, my mum was agile, but her long nightgown made it hard for her to get down. I took over the upper berth for the rest of the trip. God bless her.
Here we are, after the usual cruise meal of far too many courses.
