i have a lot of updating to do, but not a lot of energy - so we'll focus on the pictures.

my cousin Tim and his girlfriend Harmony were here visiting for a few days last week. they've been taking a vacation here and there in Europe - they spent time in Italy and then caught a train to Germany, stayed with us for a few days, and continued on to France and a few days in Paris. They took a bunch of pictures, so I'm sure I'll have more when they get home and send me some! Same with Mom - she took a bunch and I can't wait to get my hands on copies of hers!

mom (Grandma) and Kaitlyn

Eric, Kaitlyn and I went to the Wittlich Pig Fest. it's a long story, but the jist of it is that hundreds of years ago, one of the gates to the city was broken so the guard stuck a carrot through the latch so it couldn't be opened. a pig came along and ate the carrot, allowing the invaders into the city so afterwards they rounded up all the pigs and roasted and ate them in retaliation. and every year, Wittlich roasts a bunch of pigs and people eat big hunks of pig on brotchen.

and we are talking festival/carnival here

Eric and some of our friends eating

playing a carnival game where you use a mallet to try and fling plastic frogs onto rotating lilypads. I kinda sucked, but i blame it on the fact that i had Kaitlyn in the mei tai and that made it hard to hit. that's my story and i'm sticking to it. eric did win me a little frog with suction cup feet to put on my car window, though!

and on the 21st of August, Kaitlyn was 2 MONTHS OLD!!!!!!!!! she's getting so big!! so of course, i had to take pictures.

she's getting so BIG!!!!!!!!! i don't remember for sure which picture i took on her one month, but when i figure it out, i'll put up a comparison. she's probably about 10lbs now, so she's almost doubled her birth weight. eeek! someone tell her to stop growing up already.

sunglasses - and no, that's not a laugh - that's a "Mom! get these off of me!!"

and one of my other favorite outfits

and finally, pictures from Tim and Harmony's visit

we hung out in Trier for a little while on Tuesday and had dinner. Tim was VERY excited about his Apple Struedel for dessert!

they wanted to see a castle, so on Wednesday, I took them to Vianden. Tim and Harmony in an upper courtyard with an awesome view

and me and Tim. (and Kaitlyn)

And on that note, Kaitlyn is finally snoozing in the mei tai so I'm going to try and put her down for the night and get some sleep. g'night!
