Practical advise for needle biopsy

Take a sports bra with you. Get a snug one that is soft and comfortable. You will spend approximately 48 hours without a break in it. The ace bandage thing really really gets uncomfortable - it moves and it is rough and the skin/nipples are just a little to sensitive to deal with that.

Make sure you are able to take your pain medication. Read side effects and stop taking it at the first little sign of reaction, it only gets worse, really I know!

Take it easy the first day, don't lift anything over 3 pounds and that will mean don't lift the laptop! It is only a 24-48 hour thing and it is a good thing and you recover much faster and feel so much better!

I am over the 48 hour thing. And I got to take a hot shower this morning. I have to buy the stuff to replace the steristrips or whatever but wow, I feel good.

Also take your antibiotics. Just do it. If you need some inspiration, think pus seeping out of that whole the needle left and the awful smell that close to your face and the pain that will cause along with more needles. Taking a pill 2 times a day so much easier!

I won't know the results until next week, but I feel pretty sure I am fine and the big C isn't in my future. However, I will listen and try to do whatever I can to help anyone going through the testing process or the operations or the treatments. Hey, I am not trained but I am someone you can yell at tell what to do and just whatever. I am just a typed page away and I care. Really, after this and seeing the survivors while I sat in the waiting rooms waiting for my results, well I want to be there for anyone I can. I don't have a deep philosophy, heck i can't even spell it. But I am not afraid to listen, to cry and just try and be what you need. i mean you can just tell me shut up and listen. Hey cheer me up today whatever i will do my best. nuff said, the offer is open to anyone who wants to use it.

mamogram, mri, cancer testing, biopsy
