I'm happy: The car is packed, good byes are said, and all that's left is to get out of here. I'm bringing an Ev with me, which will be cool. She is incredibly awesome. I've accumulated a lot of decorations and miscellaneous home stuff to put up in the apartment... I can't wait to see how it looks. Most of it's very basic... new shower curtain, bath mats, kitchen rug, etc, but still, it should help make that bathroom look more like it belongs to us, instead of being an institutional bathroom. (obsessed with homey-ness)

yeah, so this is, indeed ramblesville. Stop reading if you are bored. :-P

I'm a bit tired, but also too excited to sleep well yet. I'm planning an early start so I should though. I want to see everyone, but, then again, don't want to be caught jumping up and down with my cell phone calling everyone just to say: Look! I'm so special! We're in the same county again! yay! oh well. Sure I'll run into someone online, or bite the bullet and go on said calling rampage.

Made cookies to give to some folks down here, but have a number of extras. Yummy yummy devilish mints.

I said good bye to my tree today too. It is a cute little tree, maybe 5 years old. It grew from an acorn I brought down from a camp ground near Julian, and is a black oak. It survived being transplanted twice so far, but mom wants to get rid of it. It's still relitively small, so she may yet, but right now I have her convinced that it is my tree, and moving a twice transplanted toddler yet again is a foul idea. it's right where we used to have a giant old pine tree, so to my mind it's growing to replace that one. I hope it survives mom's good intentions, the little brother's lawn mower, and the evil gophers. So cute, so evil.

Happy day!
