It's Saturday evening,2B is home watching one of his favorite TV shows with Master. There's not much to do on Saturday nights but to stay up to watch MADTV and this evenings episode had unfornately just ended.
Midnight rolled around and in no time it was Sunday morning... Since Fox aired reruns of Married With Children following MADTV,and since 2B never cared for this show when the music of "Love and Marriage" began piping it's fanfare,2B grabbed the remote quickly and started flipping through channels.
2B: Hmmmm..... That's odd
Master: What's odd?
2B: Well You know how channel 6 was always just an in-between station with poor reception but we figured out that whatever was on channel 6 was identical to what was on channel 11?
Master: Yes, both channels are actually the same station thereby they show the same programs at the same time,6 just isn't really meant to be a station it just picks up 11's broadcast signal.
2B: Not tonite it isn't
Master: What do you mean?
2B: Well MWC is on 11 right now ...But look at this...
*2B switches to 6*.....[the scrambled black and white images obviously suffered from interference yet the picture was still recognizable and it appeared that channel 6 was picking up "Cheaters"....one of the new episodes with Joey Grecco [2B mumbles that he liked Cheaters better back when Tommy was the host]
Master: How can you even hear it over all that static and noise? Besides the picture is struggling to come in...
2B: But I can still tell it is not MWC,can't you Master?
Master: Yes I do see the Cheaters emblem in there somewhere....
Where are those super antenna boosters I had laying around here??
2B You don't understand, Master.... antenna boosters aren't going to help the reception,we're satellite remember?
Master: Oh yes...you're correct 2B...Turn that volume down if you insist on watching that channel please,it's nerveracking.
2B: Sure Master *2B lowers the volume*
[Now the struggling picture was blinking off and on at intervals,so the picture came on then the screen went black,came on then went black again.]....
2B: That's.......odd...hmmm....
Master: Well I don't know why you insist on trying to watch a channel that isn't even a channel in the first place....*yawns* I'm calling it a night 2B,See ya in the morning..
2B: Yeah yeah....Goodnight Master....
2B gives a call to GridIron
GI: Yeloo?.....
2B: Hello Grid? It's 2B
GI: Hey 2B!....I'm afraid there's still no blips on the radar yet...
2B: That's fine....right now I want you to tune in to channel 6......
GI: Channel 6? But that's not even a....
2B: I know it's not a channel just do it please....
GI: OK 2B....channel 6....here we go.....
2B: What do you see?
GI: The picture's barely coming in, all fuzzy,snowy,and I can't even hear it over the noise and static.......
2B: I know...turn the volume down...
GI: OK...Ah that's better....well now the picture is going out, blanking on & off,on & off...What's the point 2B?
2B: Well I had an idea.....what if those blinks turned out to be a code of sorts?
GI: Code? What do you mean?
2B: Grid if you keep it on that channel and take note of the sequence of blinks and jot down any translation you come up with I think you'll see what I mean.....
GI: Oh? ...Yes I see what you're saying now blink...blink..blink.......blink.....yeah ...OK 2B ....I got ja....
2B: I have a Great feeling about this Grid-
GI: Feelings shmeelings.....sheer intuition's what I call it....
2B: Just keep track of those blinks and call me with your results
GI: OK 2B should I still keep the radar running then?
2B Oh yes Grid....no matter what...keep that radar running
GI: THIS IS REMARKABLE! It does seem to be flashing a pattern of some kind......interesting....well I'll call you as soon as this show is over with my findings.....
2B: I'll be here Grid...
[Niether gave a signal of interest in what show they were supposed to be watching at the moment,and with confidence that they were both infact focused on one and the same mission, 2B left GI to the task at hand.
