I'm seriously starting to get cheesed off....
you know those two pictures i just posted - the torchwood one and the tennant one?
i submitted both to one of the dr. who clubs on DA...
the Tennent one just....expired. it was not approved, nor disapproved. but sometimes things get lost. i submitted again, with the comment that i only did so because i never got an answer any way and that if they didn't want it, i'd rather be just told.
it expired AGAIN. i sent a note asking why this time (sometimes people don't see the 'comments' on submissions. no answer.
weeks later, i get the torchwood one finished. i initially did not submit it because i was thinking "Hey, its a DR WHO club. sure, jack's been on many episodes, but its obviously a scene from TORCHWOOD"
but on a hunch - i check the site about submissions, and it says:
"This group is a place to display your Doctor Who related art. All Who related art is welcome here as long as its not obscene. This includes the Dr. Who spin-offs (Torchwood, SJA, etc). "
So why not, i send it in. it's been in for about 6 hours and i've gotten my fastest turn around from them yet. DECLINED.
so tell me why This is acceptable (not saying its bad, but the level is just...completely different!)or THIS (c'mon, you see the thumbnail, and you ABSOLUTELY think this chick is front naked!!) and mine is not?
and they SURE AS HELL accept portraits ( <- obviously based on a photo like i did because i've seen this one done by several people as well and i've also seen that are very obviously based on screenshots all in:) in the same category i attempted to put it in: Fan Art - which since the other option is to say "licensed art - done by you" or "Fanzine art - done by you" or "original who characters", i believe i've put it in the right place - though i ASKED FOR CONFIRMATION of that as well!! (and at this point NOT so surprisingly - NEVER received an answer on that either)
OH! and i just found a jack and jack only pic - so yeah...argh. at least the black and white club are pretty consistent and the ones where i think i was just as good or better, that could be a matter of perspective but...THIS is ridiculous! at least the black and white club ANSWERS me.
Odd aside note - i cannot put 'pissed off' in the tags. it gets deleted. actually. so did declined. also side note - what is the use of tags if i can't use them for searching things?
