Soo....whats going on here?
Who knows anymore! i can't seem to keep up with anything. lets see if i can do short summups...which is sad, i wanted to do long posts about a few things. oh well...
Flat or not? My tire can't make up its mind. it fell flat 3 times between thanksgiving and New Years Day. I had it filled by a co-worker after thanksgiving. filled by a garage who couldn't look at it because their tire specialist had left JUST before i drove almost 300 miles to LI. After i made the drive, it went flat again and i took out the tire pump i had bought (because i was paranoid!) and filled my tire.
it hasn't gone flat since. but i did notice the cap wasn't all the way on when i took it off. so i made SURE it was on when i put it back. coincidence? i think not!
Snow, more Snow, and the Snowpocolapyse
I can count on one hand (exactly) the number of times my job has shut down due to weather (cancelled, not let out early) in the last 11 years.
two of them occured in the last 3 weeks. ah well - i took quite an advantage of both instances and kat and i played outside for short times. got some great pics too. Yesterday's snowpocolypse trip had her climbing mtns of snow left by plows and me sinking up to my upper thigh in snow that wasn't piled by plows. yes. it was that deep.
Project 52
I joined a photo group on flicker where we get assigned a task every week and can post up to 3 pics of that assignment in the group. i joined up as a way to try and get new ideas and practice stuff...there were a few things i wanted to do, but couldn't, and def. a few things that i did, that i really liked. i would love to get feedback from folks. if you're interested and DO NOT already have my flicker site, just post here and i'll send you a link.
Cinema 6
i'm part of the team that is supposedly working on Cinema 6 - its a group effort and i'm too far away for most of the playtests. however, with everything else going on and all my other art projects, i just can't pump out art the way they needed me too - i could do handfuls of pieces here and there...and then we ran into another problem. I can't draw monsters. not, i don't. its more, i can't. but i keep trying. but they look cute. which is the last thing that C6 needs for the Azamar stuff
so far i've done a total of 5 logos being currently used, drawn 2 other things that are top secret and can't be shown off yet, and until this week, one other piece that was good - but couldn't be used (AND i agreed on why - if you've got a book full of one type of art, having one pic different would be VERY out of place. it would have been different if the book was half and half and all mixed together, but i didn't make enough art for that) so i was feeling a bit depressed that the first monster that i've done a decent job on wasn't gonna be showed off.
but BRETT pulled through - he found something for it and i even did two more pics (another interior AND a cover) so i feel better now, even if i'm not as prolific as hisham (he's a great artist too- perfect style for what they want)

Disney Princesses on Ice
Coming to a Verizon near you! or , er...me! tomorrow night....er, later today, kat gets to see her first ice show! :D Nana bought tickets as a xmas present and all i gotta do is get the souvenirs - i still can't believe the good seat tickets we have cost 75 dollars - even with a discount!
