My mind was twitchy, so I smacked it, and out poured this

I have music for this, but I'm so attached to the prose that I just had to share it with anyone reading this.

I cannot believe my eyes,
An apparition gracefully appears.
Never thought this to be true,
She makes her way closer still.
Right when I become aware,
The vision blurs and distances.

Tell me,
Was it really you?
Embellished by a symphony of light.
Defying darkness and black-and-white,
Temporarily in view.
The picture in my mind discolours,
Crumbles right before I count to three.

This is always the part that strains,
My eyes, my heart, and both my brains.

Trying to get to you,
I liken to separating water from sand.
And I can't seem to get the hang,
Of thinking of its difficulty.
Maybe I should gesture with my hands,
To form a five-word sentence.

In this game,
There are no rules,
But I can't help but feel like breaking,
Down into a mire of frustration.
Am I really making myself,
Clear enough to understand?
All I need is you to get it right.

Sometimes I wanna stop this charade,
And try to clean up this mess I've made.

In other news, as awesome as music is, movies and books are nearly as awesome.

Saturday, after jamming with Ricardo and Andy from the band Soul Rebel Sound, I watched "You, Me and Dupree" in the middle of fragments of "Kill Bill, Vols. 1 & 2". "Kill Bill" just happened to be on TBS all weekend, and it was so hacked to shit that I'm gonna have to watch them again. "Dupree" was pretty good. Owen Wilson is a pretty funny cat. The movie went on a little longer than I would have liked, but it was good nonetheless.

Sunday, after buying food for my turtle Zen, I impulsively visited the bookstore next door and bought Malcolm Gladwell's "The Tipping Point". A very interesting read; it discusses the critical point in time where something becomes a trend, as well as the defining factors that lead to such a point. Had I not decided to make a concerted effort earlier this year to read more, this book probably wouldn't be in my possession.

Later that evening, after narrowly being checkmated by my friend Chris, I had to sit through the movie "The Covenant". DON'T see this movie. Unless you're a teenager. A female teenager. I seriously don't think I can find anything good to say about this film, with the possible exception of giving props to the lead actor (whose name I don't really care to know) for knowing how to drive stick.

Now I must go and play the music that accompanies the above italicization.
