Man, so much happens in one weke, one day, etc. Mike got into a car accident and is still looking for a job. My toilet broke. I got commended at work for improving = raise $$ :o) Alot of crap. Good and bad.

I didn't think I was up for watching movies, but I ended up last night :o)
I watched American Beauty while reading the shooting script and a few things were off. I also watched the first 30 minutes of The Graduate. I noticed some Rainman moments there. Dustin Hoffman is such a tool, I loved it.

Here's the stuff that variated in the shooting script versus the movie:
(First, I wanted to say that, it was only subtle things like for example, some characters would variate their line, instead of saying "Someone" int he script, Janie would say "Somebody" twice, which doesn't matter.)

1. The first scene shows Lester (Kevin Spacey) sitting in his office cubicle which is originally supposed to be beige instead of gray in the movie.

2. In the scene after the colonel tires to kiss Lester, he's running in the shooting script, whereas in the movie, he's walking out of the garage in the rain. Btw, I'd like to say that Chris Cooper is an awesome actor in this role (marines colonel) He doesn't have a name in the script, but they say it in the movie.

3. Ricky wasn't wearing a hat, which goes to say that that wouldn't be in the script, that would be up to wardrobe and costumes department, but still, I don't think he needed that hat. Unless they were trying to make him come off creepy, then they made the right decision. He just didn't need the damn hat.

4. This isn't relating to the script, but near the ending, the scene showing the main characters and where they were when the first gunshot went off reminded me of that part when everyone is shown waking up frmo a dream in Donnie Darko. I loved that.

It's after 2pm and I start work at 3pm, so I'm gonna head out early and read Goodwill Huting script for fun while I still have fun.

I think I left my lunch at home again. ARRGGHH. I hope the maintenance guys came to fix our toilets.

As far as the aforementioned, I've been doing good. I'm trying to get a friend at work to make some phonecalls so I can have this guy he knows who does animation for Cartoon Network to guest starr on my radio show on Fridays. That would RULE!

Lastly, the best line in American Beauty besides the ending speech by Lester is when Caroline (Annette Benning) walks in the house and inquires about the firebird in the driveway, saying "What the hell is that in our driveway?"
Lester says:

"It's my new car, 1977 Firebird, I rule!"

Have a pleasant day everyone. :o)
