Cooking lessons

Sep 09, 2007 20:02

My parents are off on a three-week camping trip, leaving me the house to myself. I am, therefore, teaching myself to cook.

Today's lesson: make sure everything fits in the pan before you start. Especially if you're going to bring it to a boil.

The final product (chili, if you care) was still okay, but the process was made somewhat more lengthy and unpleasant.

Also: I am gaining new understanding of the Biblical observation that it is not good for a man to be alone. First, there's loneliness. Second, he has to cook and do dishes.
