So, off for another glorious bus ride on the wonderful x5 in a short while after helping with the Emma open days. It has been much fun helping here, and I will probably come and help again this time next year.
Time on:
At least 2,000 people have visited Emma in the last couple of days. It's been our job to shuttle them about college between talks, answer all of their questions and give them tours of the place. I don't think I've ever talked so much in 48 hours before! They had so many questions, most of them pretty rational. However I would still like an explanation for the group that came up to me with matching yellow sheets of paper wanting to know exactly how old the college chapel was. It was definately worth it even if nobody I took round applies to Emma, because you can tell by their reactions you've helped to change some ideas about what Cambridge is actually like. Anything that does that has to be worthwhile.
Time off:
I've really enjoyed being with peoples from here again. We had some fun times in a pub or two, dojos, cooking, seeing the hilarious PoTC2, drinking coffee and doing nothing in particular. It is a bit sad having to say ttfn again.
In other news I do however have to report at least two full blown autopilot lapses to M, both by myself and taking a group around. We shall all have to have much fun when we return in October.....
