I’ve returned to civilization!
I’m in Sydney, cutesy of an insane friend who drove and arrived at my home at 3am Sunday. Such devotion. Said friend then spent a fun filled day (after three hours sleep in front of the fire) shifting a pig carcass, riding around in the anti-Christ coffered by Boog, getting firewood and being fed...lots by mum.
This is the first friend that dad's has really liked. I can tell b/c dad didn't mercilessly pick on friend. Dad mostly thinks my friends are useless and thinks its funny to torment them.
We left at 4pm for Sydney; problem was that neither of us really knew EXACTLY how to get to Sydney. So a drunk Anna (red wine 4 lunch) directed studying for biology (exam on Monday) from the passengers seat until the sunset. We guessed all the turns, b/c the map 'friend' had was pathetic (how friend even found my place at night in the country was a miracle). There were frequent stops to regroup and guess our where-abouts. Mania had set in. when leaving Maitland friend through a hissy-fit in the middle of the intersection b/c friend didn't want to go to Newcastle (which looked like the inevitable destination - we were lost, at 9pm and very tired). After hissy-fit directions were sought and we drove on. A two-hour nap was had at a mother ship off the New England highway. Then we got to home about 11pm. we had turned a simple 3-4hour trip into a 6-7 hour hell. The most hellish part was the idea of having to go via new castle.
So I’m up for coffee, movies, rock climbing, etc. leaving on Friday b/c I’ve got an exam on Friday afternoon in mudgee.
