On the whole, I think this is the best my life has ever been :)
Today was a lot of driving to and from campuses trying to track down equipment, emails, chemistry, helping out on student research projects, writing up fire scene examination lectures, phone calls to the Northern Territory and inappropriate workplace sex jokes. Round here we call that Thursday.
Yesterday we re-did the fitness test from day one. Everything was an improvement except for the shuttle test, which I actually scored LOWER on. I blame pre-gym sex. Or I just like to brag about it, whatever :P
Max Jump: 2.43m
Max Pull Up: 16
Max Push Up: 46
Shuttle Test: 121 (a slight downgrade from the original, 123)
Tonight was time trials for
200 Russian Twists: 2 minutes 37 seconds
400 Knee Tuck Planks: 4 minutes exactly
Az and I are both missing the big weights a bit too, so we did three sets of ten seated preacher curls, max weight 17.5 kg a side.
I've been pretty solid with the diet all day- a fair bit of carbs at lunch (falafel wrap and someone's spare Jenny Craig pasta) but no white bread and I even chose the healthy snack from the vending machine today! Mind you, I am drinking champagne as I write this, so...
If it's good, it's wonderful, if it's bad, it's experience,
T.
