You would never guess that fabric was from a christmas line. My background fabric for my PoD was also from a christmas line but unless you knew you wouldn't know... if that makes any sense.
Love the pleated neck o the shirt. Have you thought about just maybe two rows of straight stitching near the edge of the fabric with elastic thread in the bobbin instead of folded pleats? That's something I've been wanting to try on a tee. Maybe this weekend or Labor day weekend I'll give it a go.
I did consider elastic, but I much prefer the way pleats look on me. This was so easy to do, I plan on making several more and maybe even doing one with a printed tee. We shall see!
With any luck, I'll be cutting Princess Bride backing later today. Eli has a potluck at work tomorrow, so maybe after I make enchiladas for that!
I'll try to remember to sit down and type it out for you. My recipe (my mom's actually)is a casserole version, so you can make it ahead and stick it in the fridge.
The shirt turned out great! It's funny you did a shirt reconstruction now... a week or so ago someone on a blog I read was posting something about shirt recons and it made me think of you and how I hadn't seen you do one in a while :D
Ha, that is too funny! I've been thinking of doing some recon for a while, I've just been too freaking busy. Now I want to do oodles of them. Naturally...
