I loved this TTMT. It's exciting to hear all the announcements. I'm off to check out several of the sites you referred to in the video. Thank you!

Thanks, hon. :) I had a list and still didn't have room for everything! No one can ramble like me, lol!

Lots of things to talk about for sure! I really hope you guys get a lot of blocks/quilts/blankets together for Linus. I'm working on some things to send you (which may end up in a video if I get time to make one today).

I always say I'm busy, but I feel more busy right now than I have in ages. Mostly, I feel like I'm chasing myself in circles.

We have a lot of willing volunteers to help, which makes all the difference. I've been very touched by all the messages from TTMTers and how many are making Stars to send. It all helps. There are so many people affected by the fires.

One of the nice things about this drive for things for Linus is how accessible you've made it. When there was the fire up north of here that burned down half of one town, there was only one place I found doing a quilt drive for the residents, but she would only accept finished pieces between size x and size y and they had to be made using this type of binding method and dropped off at this particular place and within that particular time frame. Well, I only had one finished thing at the time, which was too small for her parameters and there was no time for me to start and finish something for her by the time she wanted it... just wasn't going to happen. I understand her not wanting to have 2000 quilt blocks appear on her doorstep - she wasn't working with a group, so there was no one to put things together or do the quilting/binding/etc. but it was a bit frustrating. So I donated money through the Red Cross instead.

That's a frustration I've experienced before I joined Linus. I've always been driven to help, but wanting to help and being told that your help isn't just right is very discouraging. Being part of a group that I know will help every step of the way gives me a lot of leeway when I do a block drive or something like that. We're so swamped with requests right now, every little bit helps.

I can hear thunder as I type this, I wish I had the power to send it your way.

So many things going on... I worked a little bit in my project room tonight, and my first goal is getting the sewing area up and running so I can make you at least one block.

Exciting announcements!

Believe me, I wish you had the power to send it this way, too.

I hope you get your mojo...and your project room back in order.

I need to add a bit to my star as I miscalculated (again) the amount of fabric I needed for the sashing.

Owl will go out, hopefully tomorrow! Eeep!

If your star is 12", it's fine, I have at least one more coming, they can go together. :)

Owl, yay!

I know you're asking for quilt blocks but would yarn squares (12 and 6") do?? I have a friend who's mum is a whizz knitter and would be able to churn out LOADS for you . (alongside my own crocheted contributions)

I could take yarn squares, too, shhh, that's between you and me (and anyone reading these comments!)...it got a little out of control last time I did a block collection and I had to call in my local troops to help me deal with it. ;)
