Brief (around 300 words) personality outline of your character: Gabriel is very loyal to his family, and one of the reasons cited for him leaving Heaven was due to the conflict between his family - the angels and God, and his inability to choose between the two. He has displayed a bitter attitude towards his Father for disappearing, though apparently still cares about him. You could say most of his nonchalant attitude is a cover for how he feels about the Apocalypse and the fighting.
While he is powerful, he prefers to stay out of conflicts, and has been called a coward for this. Ironically, he loves punishing people, especially giving out what he calls “just desserts” - punishing people whom he judges as irredeemable, or just assholes in need of an adjusting. He likes the good life, women, and candy; while these may have been Trickster traits he played up, he does seem to genuinely enjoy human comforts. He can be serious when called for (which is rarely), but even this is dosed with a bit of levity. His family is a bit of a sore spot, as well as the implication that he is under someone's thumb. He tends to be a bit sullen when ordered around, but will do as ordered if it is needed.
At the point in canon I am taking him from, he has decided to align with the humans, and so is ready to kill his own brother, Lucifer, or even Michael, to accomplish this and protect them, and did in fact attempt this.
Brief (around 500 words) history and background of your character OR link to a really good wiki page with their history. In either case, explain where they cut off from the timeline: Here is his character page on the super-wiki (

Sample post (just a general, everyday, puttering-around-the-ship post; please include a snippet of dialogue):
Gabriel arched an eyebrow as he looked up at the temple - to be more specific, the Basilica of St. Peter. The ship had brought - copied? Like he knew yet - the Vatican City temple almost to a T, except that it seemed a bit more dingy, and someone had made some... additions made to it.
With a light shrug to himself, the ex-Archangel walked up the steps and pushed open the doors, knocking on the door.
“Bang bang on the door, baby,” he called loudly, listening to his voice echo in the chamber. When no one answered, Gabriel both huffed for effect, and was secretly relieved when no one answered back. That meant he could explore on his own.
He glanced around the pews, interspersed with cots, and stepped forward, running a hand over the old wood of the benches.
He knew some of his brothers would find the changing of the architecture, the new purpose of the Basilica as sacrilegious; other members of his family would just not care. But Gabriel thought this use - as a fortress, a safe place, sanctuary- actually fit well with the intended purpose of the church.
His mouth pressed into a thin line at the sight of the altars to the Angels, however. Michael, Gabriel, Raphael... somewhere, there would be a caricaiturized image of Lucifer, none of them reflecting the true beauty of his older brother, or the other angels.
That had to be the only part that he didn't like about it.
With a sharp noise, Gabe reached into the pocket of his jacket for a sucker as he stared up at Michael's altar.
“Looks like it didn't matter about the fight,” he said communally to the statue, as he unwrapped the sucker. “Some freaks got to the universe before you two did. Figures,” he snorted, sticking the sweet into his mouth and turning away from the statue.
Now, what else was in here....
If the character has magic, mutant, or otherwise metahuman abilities, please explain what they are and outline EXACTLY how they function, as their powers may not work due to the nature of the ship or may need to be limited somehow: Gabriel, technically, is an Archangel. However, I've decided that he will be human on board Stacy. So now he has to deal with all those pesky human rituals, as well as the fact that he's not very strong and has to learn how to do things such as cook.
Non-superhuman special abilities of note (Is your character a master ventriloquist? A naturally-occurring super-genius? The best martial artist in the world? Say so here): While Gabriel was a trickster, he showed great skill with strategy. Along with that, he has some fighting experience (though that used to be augmented with invulnerability and other nifty stuff), which could be honed to make him a better human fighter.
