[FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK THERE IS SNOW! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT FUCK.
Remy is on his bed huddled in his blanket. Oh look, his journal's there with him]
Talia or...Zeke, I guess? You know me well enough, supposedly. I shouldn't have to say more.
[Because holy crap, the last thing he wants is a group of total strangers berating him for his

Oh, Rem .. It's the first sign we've seen of snow since arriving here. Is there anything I can bring for you at all?
Reply
That's...that's really good news. Uh...I could...I'd like to not be alone.

At his request, her tone softens.]
Of course, Rem .. I shall be there as quickly as possible.
[She paid attention to Zeke's reply before and has that room number down pat. Her only delay is to gather an extra blanket, a wineskin of the hearth warmed mull, and a loaf of warm bread from the Hall kitchen.
After that brief delay, however .. *knock knock*]

She moves to wrap it securely around him and gestures him over to his own bed.]
Sit, Rem .. I'm not going anywhere.
[The empath lowers her shields, then, already knowing partially what she'll encounter from Remy's known phobia. Her mind reaches ever so tentatively toward his, brushing against that fear and nervousness and threading comfort into it.]
I brought some mulled wine and fresh bread ..

Oh, we must have been friends. You know me well.
Reply
Well enough in some respects and certainly glad to have called you friend.
[She snags the wine and bread and moves to the bed, siting and folding her legs and leaning in against his blanketed form. She unstoppers the wine and takes a pull before offering it over to him, the warmth moving down her throat as she tears off a hunk of warm bread and holds that to him next.]
With any luck, this will pass as suddenly as it came..
Reply
Let's certainly hope. Until then, bread and wine will do. It's quite good.

She tears off a section of bread before rewrapping the remainder and setting it in front of Remy on the bed.
While Talia didn't mind the winter weather in the slightest, she certainly understood Remy's own trepidation.]
There's rum warming over the fire in the Hall and any number of other food stuffs that I can gather from the kitchens if needed. The wine though, was as good a place to start as any other, I think.
[So saying she snags back the skin and takes another drink, following it off with a bit of bread.]
If one complaint is to be made about the Keep being made of stone and mortar, it's how damned cold it gets under a blanket of snow.

[He chuckles a little. He knows his fear is stupid. Far easier to laugh at himself.]
Reply
It's not stupid, Rem .. everyone fears something and there is nothing wrong with that.
Reply
My fear was born of my own idiotic actions. You must admit, being afraid of the slightest change in temperature is a little bit silly.
Reply
The reasons for your fears, aside .. you have a perfectly good reason for feeling the way you do ..
Drowning terrifies me .. I'm barely set foot in the thermal pools since arriving and I don't want to even think about going near the lake.
[Even though she's going to drown in it before the event is over.]
Reply
But in your case, best not to go near it, much like in mine it's best I stay inside.
[His tone is calm and has calmed since Talia's arrival. She's very warm and comforting. It's the most he's ever openly talked of his fear.]
Reply
A precarious choice to make, that one.]
We are of a like mind, I believe .. Best avoid the source of the problem.
[She grins wryly at him.]
