[Locked to Remy // 75% Unhackable]

Remy? Um ... I wanted to practice something. I thought you could help. Maybe

[Unlocked]I don't hear people talk about it that much ... I guess it's not common in all the worlds out there. Who's worlds have magic on them? Who here can cast any? I'd like to practice mine some more, and was looking for anyone who ( Read more... )

There are worlds without magic?

[This is like telling Nabooru there are worlds without physics.]

Yeah! But they have electricity and "technology". They don't even think magic exists!

Who's this? I'm Katherine.

Electricity...? I'm not sure we have that in my world.

I'm Nabooru.

Well ... it's lightning really ... they just capture it in wires to make things work.

Nice to meet you. So do you know any magic?

In my world I'm known as a Sage, which means I have certain power, if that counts... but not particularly, no. I'm not a sorceress, I'm a swordswoman.

Oh ... so like a prophetess? What's magic on your world like?

It is either trained intensively from a young age, or gifted from the Goddesses or their servants. Is it ... different in your case?

Um ... that sounds similar. There are wizards, sorcerers, and priests. Wizards learn magic, they're all pretty smart ... priests are given their magic by gods or demons. I'm a sorceress, I was born with my power, though it still takes practice to get better with it. I didn't even realize I had the power until I started playing the lute.

Heh. It sounds more institutionalized than in Hyrule.

Oh? Yeah, we do have schools for Wizards and temples for Priests to study at. Sorcerers are usually on their own ...

Zelda told me very little about Hyrule. What's it like?

Hm. I am a Gerudo, so I'm not the best person to ask... we keep to ourselves in our own land. But Hyrule itself is a very beautiful place. Nothing like Gerudo Valley. The Hylians don't know how blessed they are.

A Gerudo? How does that make you different from the Hylans? They seem to be just like humans, except with elf ears ...

We're not Hylians at all. [She sounds a little flustered having to correct her on that.] Gerudo are a different race of people, just as Gorons and Zora are.

Hylians... unlike us, they're short, weak, fair-skinned, with little noses like mice... and long ears, yes. They could never survive in our desert.

ttlyisabard February 2 2010, 03:22:22 UTC
OH, you're a desert race?

[The desert people from her world were lizards.]

What do you look like then?

jewelofthesands February 2 2010, 03:25:47 UTC
Well, I guess to compare us to Hylians, we have darker skin, longer noses, round ears, red hair... We're much taller, and stronger. And we're almost all women.

[Nabooru sounds a little annoyed, though, having to use Hylians as some kind of reference point.]

I'll assume you resemble Hylians more than Gerudo, if the other humans on board are any indication of the rest.

OH, alright, so you do look human. Um ... I'm light skinned like the Hylans, but my hair's red. It's not really common where I'm from ... someone said it's "recessive."

[Kate wasn't normally perceptive, but emotions were something she could read.]

You sound like the northerner's back on my world. Well, skin wise. More like the southerners if you're tall and strong. But almost all women? Do you not have many male children? The valkyries are like that where I'm from ...
