BACKGROUND: For sixteen years Sylvie lived an unassuming life in Oklahoma. She was never especially good in school, but she was pretty and she had a lot of friends and that was more than enough to keep her happy, if not a little bored. She had always entertained the idea of one day getting out of her small town and hitting the city in the back of her mind, but she considered it more of a fantasy than a potential reality.

But one night something spangly happened in her sleep (her own words) and she woke up with powers. Being about the age most people develop their mutant powers, one would probably be most likely to assume she was a mutant. But not Sylvie. For whatever reason, with her powers came the idea that she was an Asgardian, and it was impossible to convince her otherwise-she even began talking with the old-fashioned “lisp” used by the Asgardians (although she is relatively fail at it). Her parents were relatively positive that she was just a mutant, and although the idea frightened them a little, they still loved Sylvie all the same, but they still could not convince her that she wasn’t a god, no matter how much they tried. Disheartened and afraid that their daughter would get out of control, they sent her off to Xavier’s school, hoping that maybe being around other mutants would being her to her senses. Or at the very least teacher her to be less careless with her powers.

Unbeknownst to Sylvie, she is neither an Asgardian nor a mutant. She is just a regular human, made to believe she is and given the powers of an Asgardian by Loki, an Asgardian herself and the goddess of mischief, as an experiment of sorts. At this point it is unlikely that anyone besides Loki herself is aware of this fact, nor what Loki plans to do with Sylvie, if anything.

PERSONALITY: Though Sylvie attempts to act like an Asgardian, she is really just a typical, flighty teenage girl. She is giggly and a shameless flirt-she doesn’t care if the boy she has taken an interest in is taken (or possibly even gay) or even if she already has a boyfriend. Before gaining her powers she was not above using her good looks and charm to manipulate boys, and now she does not hesitate to use her powers to manipulate whoever she pleases; she tends to throw her powers around very carelessly. Sylvie also acts very air-headed, though whether this is in fact an act or just the way she is is difficult to say. Although she has been known to scheme and one can’t help but feel that the gears are turning more than she’s letting on, if Sylvie is any more intelligent than she presents herself as being she very rarely shows it.

APPEARANCE: Sylvie has straight blonde hair which falls to about her mid-thigh. Her eyes are green. Also, Sylvie is very well-endowed and not the least bit afraid to show it off. She generally wears clothes that are form-fitting, low-cut and as revealing as possible.

POWERS: Sylvie’s powers act similar to magic, but really she is capable of mental manipulation. She can alter something as small as making a teacher disregard the fact that she forgot a homework assignment or as vast as completely altering the way a person perceives himself or the world around him. Also, If she changes a person’s impression of themselves it does not just change the way they think but also the way they are; for example, if Sylvie were to make someone think he was a frog not only would he believe he was and act as if he were a frog, but he would literally physically become one. Though it is possible to snap oneself out of Sylvie’s “spell” the more she has altered the more difficult it would be to do so-she or someone else with the appropriate powers would have to reverse it.
