Tony Stark, I've heard you're the man to see for a project I've got going on.  If you wouldn't mind, I'd like the opportunity to meet and discuss it.

That said, I'm looking to also speak with a woman named Selina Kyle.  Apparently, we have a lot to catch up on.

Lady's told me that the flu virus that seems to be going around is more than likely a ( Read more... )

I'll just have to take your word for it, for now.

Have no doubts you'll adjust quickly, mostly everyone does.

I'm not worried about not being able to adjust, I'm more worried about the inevitability of it. It means accepting that I'm stuck here, and accepting all of the lunacy that comes with it.

Well, there's no point in dwelling on the curses, you've got no choice to move on. Everyone will be okay a week from now. It might be a cynical thing to say, but the attention span of this place doesn't last long.

Lady, how long have you been here?

I arrived here when I was sixteen, didn't leave until I was seventeen.

I'm twenty-six years old now, and this, apparently, is my second visit.

You were here for a year and got dragged back even after getting to go home for nearly a decade? You're awfully cavalier, considering.

Trust me, I can be worse. But remembering how this place was? It doesn't seem like it changed much. Probably because it hasn't, since that decade was a three day gap, City-wise.

So, this City is a dimension independent of the usual rules of space-time. Do you remember how long had passed when you returned in comparison to the year you'd spent in the city?

As well as it affects one's memories, because more often than not, it hits some of us pretty hard upon arrival. I don't remember people, but I can damn well remember witch trial curses that killed many innocent people, and seemingly everyone who was in an uproar would return to normal. It's also a state of human endurance and survival here to pick up and move on in a constant changing environment.

You seem like an alright guy, so it's good to give you the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best, yes?
