Martin was confused. He did expect a lot of fuss when a young socialite went missing. It's just the fuss was coming from all the wrong places. First it was the army, then his Dad, and then the British government.
Her friends were obviously hiding something, something even Danny, for all his flirting with that Faith woman, couldn't get out of them. They were worried, but they seemed pissed that the FBI were involved, who wouldn't want the FBI searching for their missing friend?
Her sister had latched onto him with some sort of teenage crush, at least that's what he was supposed to think. He knew people thought he was oblivious but really, the teen was not so subtle in her information gathering. What made it worse was that the team all thought it was hilarious. Danny had asked, "Isn't the sister more your type, Fitzie? You're gonna break her heart."
He gave in and asked his father, who’s answer confused him all the more, "Martin, it isn't every day a legend goes missing, of course we look for her."
76 hours missing - the woman waltzed into the office, sat down in his chair and drank his coffee.
