“Since we couldn’t find anything in the books, I asked my contacts at the council and they arranged a meeting with someone who might be able to help us.” Giles told Xander.
Xander nodded. “When will we meet him?”
“Don’t know.” Giles said.
Several hours later there was a knock on the door. Giles answered it. The person at the door was an old man with a long white beard. “I’m here to speak to an Alexander about an enchanted painting?”
“Ah yes.” Giles said stepping aside to allow the wizard in.
Xander looked up. “That the contact?”
“Yes.”
“Hello Alexander, I am Albus Dumbledore. I hear you have a painting of one Salazar Slytherin?”
Xander nodded. “That’s what the picture calls himself.” He stood up and removed the picture from the closet and handed it to Dumbledore.
“Finally… no respect...disgusting muggles. Oh a real wizard.” The picture said after noticing Dumbledore's wand.
Dumbledore chuckled in amusement. “Most interesting, it’s an authentic painting, dated around the time Slytherin still remained at Hogwarts and it’s enchanted so it can only remain with family members…”
“What’s that mean?” Xander asked suspiciously.
“It means you’re a direct descended of the wizard Salazar Slytherin.”
