Your lj-cut text isn't working correctly.

Hells, he could have been the damned Terminator and it STILL wouldn't have been a fair fight!”

(grin) I dunno, it would be rather interesting to see Buffy go up against the Terminator.

In my mind, her point was that her Slayer power give her such a grossly unfair advantage, any perception of a fair fight would be downright laughable. The fight was pretty much over before it even began. A Slayer vs. a Terminator might indeed be interesting to fight, since both could take a beating and dish it right back. Your suggestion reminds me of a piece of fan-art I saw recently which was a drawing of the Terminator and Wolverine fighting each other.

As for the lj-cut...yeah, I'm trying to troubleshoot that, but I have no idea why it doesn't work. My wife told me how to do it...she looked at her own...and, well, the code's right, so...I got nothin'.

Looking at the code of the page, the cut is showing as a < rather than the actual < that it should be. How exactly are you doing your posts? Are you using the HTML editor or the Rich Text Editor? Are you typing in the code, or are you cutting-and-pasting?

Ah, now it looks like we might be getting somewhere. It's odd that my < is showing up as <...whatever that is.

I'm typing the code directly into the RTF field along with the rest of my entry (although I copy-and-paste my story from an OpenOffice document). I hadn't noticed that there's an HTML tab in the journal entry form...that, or I didn't think it was important. I usually go for what I perceive to be the less-complicated route...which in this case, is text instead of HTML.

It sounds like you're suggesting changing the title of my work...correct?

Now it looks like TWO others have given their stories the same title. Should I still change mine, or just be aware of that?

Er, no, she's not suggesting anything. This is the pingback_bot, it's an automatic robot thing which notifies you that this post has been referenced in another post. You aren't supposed to do anything, just be happy that you've been mentioned.

(We're breaking earcmacfithil into this LJ thing in stages, heh. I'm just glad I got him to participate this year.)

Well, you got the cut to work this time, but it took out ALL of your spaces. *wince*

Yay, Buffy, though!

As for the spaces...grr...back to the drawing board. I'll go fix that.

I see this drabble as a snapshot of her road to becoming High WarLady of Yuma. People fall into line behind her because she kicks arse and takes names. She did that in Sunnydale, but it was pretty much all covert. Things are different in the Changed world, of course, and it's a whole new ballgame, as it were.
