summary: Buffy meets Adam while fending off some Tengas.
They had crowded her, trapped, but Buffy was only getting more frustrated with these big black birds. She kicked, feinted and spotted where they had knocked her sword.
“I may not know what you are, but you’re so going down!”
“Tengas,” a young man with dark hair told her as he joined in.
Buffy smirked. Two against six were better odds. He occupied them long enough for her to get her sword. They made quick work of the birds. She turned and smiled brightly, extending her hand as she introduced herself.
He returned her smile, shaking her hand, “Adam Park.”

Rona wanted to roll her eyes.
“I wasn’t lost this time,” Brittany insisted.
“You wandered off from the group again,” Rona reminded.
“But there were pretty lights,” Brittany pouted.
Rona huffed, turned on her headset and found an alcove, “Molly Taylor found her, again. Dawn, I don’t think she’s cut out for this.”
She frowned as Molly’s grimy hand reached out. She shook her head at the younger girl.
“Just gimme the mic,” Molly frowned.
Rona was prepared to protest, the seriousness on Molly’s face made her pause and hand it over, “Brit just slayed the Aurona we couldn’t find.”

Lorne sat back as he watched the group of kids squabble over who got to sing to him first. He might have known that telling New Directions of his abilities when it came to hearing a song would spring an impromptu performance. He might have realized that more than one of them didn’t know how to share.
What had their parents taught them?
He glanced at the blonde girl who hadn’t joined in the protesting.
She smiled, “You’re pretty. I like your horns.”
“Thanks.”
“They’re sexy.”
Lorne’s eyebrows shot up. The girl smiled, tossed her hair then announced, “Group number!”

Connor’s fingers scrambled against the concrete floor as he struggled to push himself upward, not let the blackness claim him. He heard a scream!
“Kurt!” he managed before the darkness claimed him.
He woke up as he was being bundled into a blanket in the back seat of his car. He frowned, “What?”
Kurt smiled, “How’s your head?”
“Thankful for a fast healing factor. How are you still alive?”
“You did teach me how to defend myself,” Kurt pointed out.
“Yeah, but…”
“Face it,” Kurt smirked, “You were the damsel in distress this time.”
“I love you.”
“Love you too.”

Tara sighed, still not understanding how she had ended up going with Donny to his friends Christmas party. She helped in the kitchen where she could, set things up as she was told to, but never felt a part of the group. Eventually she managed to wander away upstairs. In the back bedroom she found a blonde with his head in a book. He blinked at her as she dropped beside him.
“Not in the Christmas spirit?”
He shrugged, “I’m an atheist.”
“Wiccan.”
He smiled, held out a hand, “Billy.”
“Tara,” she answered, finally at ease, “What are you reading?”

Buffy wasn’t quite sure what to make of it when Jack’s lips hit hers.
“So long,” he grinned as he pulled away.
He pulled Xander in next. Xander squeaked, kissed back, then whimpered when Jack pulled away, “Farewell.”
“You still creep me out,” Jack said as Spike smirked back. The kiss was passionate.
“But you don’t kiss like him,” Jack decided before he smiled, “Auf wiedersehen. ”
He tilted Willow’s face and gave her a soft peck, “Adieu, it was good to have met you.”
Giles gave Jack a stern glare and held out his hand, “Let’s just say goodbye.”
