Andrew entered the room wondering what was up. The plan for today had involved finally getting Dawn back. He hoped they weren’t calling him because things had gone wrong. At first glance, things must have gone more or less according to plan, because there was Dawn…looking a few years younger than she should have. That was weird. Weirder was the guy he didn’t recognize, who was standing too close to Dawn for the comfort of most of the room.
“Ah, Andrew.” Giles looked up from what seemed to be a bout of serious glasses cleaning. “Would you be so kind as to show Mr. Adama around while we discuss the current situation with Dawn?”
Andrew shot a quick glance at the man in question. He was on the tall side of average, wearing some sort of military uniform, and looking slightly annoyed. It was clear he wasn’t happy about being sent out of the room, and equally clear that he realized they were getting him out of the way so they could talk to Dawn without him.
“Um, sure. If you’ll just come with me…”
“And Andrew?”
Andrew paused, wondering what else Giles wanted.
“You needn’t hurry back.”
“Got it.”
