“Guys! It's finally here. Dr Horrible sent us his Freeze Ray!” Andrew called excitedly. “So can't wait to use it on Buffy.”
“I don't know... he didn't seem to have much luck with it when you watch his blog,” Jonathan spoke up.
“We don't need luck,” Warren replied. “We just need it to work if the Slayer shows up at the diamond heist.”
An hour after the heist, the three evil villains limped back home.
“Why didn't you say anything?” Warren demanded answers from Jonathan.
“You cut me off before I could warn you of the delay while warming up!”

Andrew, Warren and Jonathan were laughing over the mishap that had occurred to someone who thought that he was up to their league of evilness. Johnny Snow was a poser in a parker who had attempted to freeze someone with an obviously faulty Freeze Ray. The Troika knew it obviously faulty, because they had designed it and sold it to him just to prove how evil they were.
Johnny Snow was trying to demand his money back. Threatening to report it The Evil League of Evil. Like that was a threat. It was run by a horse, not that scary!

Reviewing the plans that Jonathan had happily given him for a bank heist, Billy was sure it was going to happen. Their transmatter ray plans would definitely give him the edge when he stole the bars of gold. He would blog about it once he finished his laundry, that way Warren and the others
could see his progress.
But unfortunately the stealing part of the plan failed. Sure he managed to steal the bars using the transmatter ray... however they no longer were in bar form. They were sitting in a plastic bag, in liquid form, smelling like cumin somehow.

It was a hard job for a horse, but someone had to do it... and that someone was Bad Horse. He worked his way through the pile of applications for the Evil League of Evil. So far, the applicants could barely meet the quality that the Henchmen's Union would ask for.
He paused on the application of Warren Meers. Someone who seemed to understand a bit more of what he was after. One of his virtues that he listed was a strong sense of justice that could be obtained by killing the Slayer. His main vice, the Slayer still lived.

But Warren talked so passionately over how wonderful it was. After Captain Hammer ruined my attempt to get into the League non fatality, and got you... He always got what I wanted. And I wanted you. “Yeah, it was great,” Billy replied with fake enthusiasm. It annoyed him that anyone could believe that he had killed Penny. He loved her. Her hair, the way she ate her frozen yoghurt, did her laundry... everything he knew about her. Captain Hammer had killed her but everyone thought that Dr Horrible had murdered her.
The only benefit from the whole ordeal was he was in the Evil League of Evil. Was that really enough?
