A Snack Break
Buffy leaned against the doorframe and watched Daniel work hunched over his desk. His brow was furrowed in concentration and his hair was sticking out at odd angles. The green BDUs he was wearing were rumpled and to her eyes it looked like he was still examining the same hunk of rock he had been when she left him the day before. She got the sneaking suspicion that he never made it home last night. All in all, it was a view that brought an affectionate smile to her lips.
She wondered when he had taken his last break, as his attention never wavered when she walked over to stand next to him. She waved the cup of coffee under his nose and he straightened in response.
“I thought you left,” he said with a frown.
Buffy rolled her eyes and placed a small kiss on his cheek. “I did and now I’m back with prezzies.”
“The coffee,” he said with a grateful sigh.
“And these,” she said, holding up a brown paper bag.
His blue eyes twinkled. “My favorite?”
“Of course. What kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn’t?” She asked, handing over the bag of cookies.

Eric looked down at the tiny blonde currently snuggled up next to him in disbelief. “How did you ever talk me into this?” He asked.
Buffy batted her eyelashes, “’Cause you love me.”
“That’s not an excuse,” he nearly growled. “I’m still not seeing where you think watching this movie is such a good idea.”
“Oh, come on! It’s a classic,” she insisted, her body shifting so she could look at him more easily.
“And it’s highly inaccurate,” he pouted, pushing a stray lock of his blond hair out of his face. “It’s impossible that children would be able to do that.”
She rolled her eyes. “All those movie posters decorating the walls of your club and you don’t have this one. It’s important that you understand why you need to get one from this movie and put it up, too.”
“But this one is even more ridiculous than those are,” he said in disgust, then his eyes darkened slightly as she pressed herself against him, her hand sliding up his leg.
“I’ll make it worth your while,” she breathed.
He nodded and moved to kiss her, but she easily evaded him. “Kissage later, Lost Boys with Corey Haim now.”

Summary: Buffy wakes Gibbs up in the middle of the night.
Secrets
Gibbs eyes flew open as the air in his lungs left his body in a rush. Pain radiated out from the center of his chest and he fought for a moment to understand what was going on. Buffy’s muted cries reached his ears and his sleep drugged mind struggled to tell him that she was caught in another nightmare.
Having experienced this before, he slid out of bed to keep out of her reach. He didn’t try to wake her since the previous times he’d tried just resulted in getting him injured and her feeling guilty about it. She’d either wake on her own or settle after a few minutes.
He’d no idea what she had gone through that caused nightmares like these, but he hoped that one day she would trust him enough to be able to tell him. Even if she didn’t, he respected the fact that there were some things you just couldn’t share with anyone no matter how close you were. He had secrets of his own.
Buffy’s nightmare seemed to pass as her body settled once again. As he climbed back into bed he reminded himself to ask her how she ended up so strong.
