She sat on the edge of Atlantis, watching the waves below her becoming lighter. Few knew how to get to that particular ledge, which suited her fine. It was her favorite place to sit and watch the sun come up. It was equally as fine to hide from particularly annoying scientists who believed that she had been implanted with something to give her the super strength.
She sighed, knowing that the peace would not last long before Sheppard would send either Ronon or Teyla after her. They were the only ones who could jump the distance needed to reach there. But for the few moments she had there, she could pretend she was back in Sunnydale, sitting on the dock watching the sky lighten. It made her feel less homesick.
As the sky begun to turn hues of pink and apricot, she could hear the soft footsteps approaching. She didn’t turn as Teyla sat next to her, joining her in appreciating nature.
“This is my favorite time of the day,” Teyla said softly.
Faith nodded in agreement, knowing that further words were not needed between the two friends. They sat back and continued to watch the sunrise over the ocean.
