He was a creature of stark colors-true, light consuming black, skin so white, snow paled in comparison-garbed in violent, bloody shades.
She was a being of light, golden hair and skin kissed by the sun, life-in all its ferocious glory-was her mantle.
They danced; each movement fast, brutal and inhumanly strong.
As soon as their engagement began, it ended.
The hunters withdrew.
A tie.
“I had forgotten,” Alucard murmured to the moon, “what it is to fight a Slayer.”
