Her sister was dead, and she felt less real than ever. They all tired. Xander, Tara, Willow, all of them tried to get Dawn to open up and talk, to come out of her room. To do anything but mope and cry but nothing anyone did helped.
"God!" cried Dawn quietly in her room. "Why me? Why is it always me who suffers?"
A gravely male voice sounded behind her. "Dawn, this isn't just about you! People are suffering all over the world, all over the universe for that matter. Get over yourself, or you're of no use to anyone, and Buffy died for you for nothing."
"What!" Dawn said and screamed. "Who the hell are you? What business of it is yours anyway."
The man with the gray longish hair dressed in jeans a tee shirt and jeans, smiled it her.
"You called out to God, I'm one of his messengers, you call we come. It's as simple as that."
"You got to be shitting me!" Dawn said aghast. "You're lying to me."
That's when Earl spread his wings and said, "No. I'm not lying to you I am an angel. And we have some talking to do.
