Fanime, Day Three
There was a fabulous teal deer here, but I think I'm going to relocate him to his own fabulous nature preserve because man, as much as I hate posting twice in one day, it was getting a bit long. So, the (hopefully?) interesting bit gets to be all alone for once. HERE GOES~
05/30: Fanime, Day Three - D.Gray-man
(...because I'm a jerk, and because there are already a billion pictures in this post, I think I'll give the Ball its own post? So be warned, huge pic!dump is huge once again. ^_^; )
Actually made it to the DGM meet ON TIME...like whoa.
...And hilarity ensues. We had a pretty big group this year! I was too busy trying NOT to smile (so...happy...) to remember to take pictures. Luckily, Road did (and ran the meet, thanks sis!), so these are mostly hers.
I thought it was interesting how many different versions of each main character there were - including Miranda! Yet, really few other characters. Not even half a dozen Noah (five, and whichever half of Jasdebi it was showed up late), and Bak and Cross, and that's about it. I mean, that isn't bad or anything, but it's kind of unusual.
In order of appearance (at the meet, not in the manga LOL):
...if you'll notice, the Allen on the far left is the one I have to juggle battle. -nodnod- Good thing that as of now he is completely unaware of this fact, because my training, it goeth SLOWLY~
Linali was the only Exorcist to appear in all three versions of the uniform. (No v2 for Allen.)
(No v1 for Rabi...but look, baby Rabi<3)
(No v1 Kanda, either! Although there IS this person I see at about every con who wears the v1 Kanda jacket...and some kind of weird head-shark thing. EVERY TIME. I should get a picture. ^_^; Didn't come to the meet, though.
...And baby!Kanda FTW.)
...Miranda's various outfits also well-represented (she doesn't have a v1 uniform, so~). I really like the long coat better for Miranda's v3 (I like her in a dress), but I'm sure I'll be proven wrong by the anime before too long. BETTER HURRY AND MAKE THAT UNDERSKIRT.
(These two did the best job, IMO. ^_^)
Sorely outnumbered, but pretty darn adorable. I think that 14th cosplay is my new favorite thing ever. ^_^

Undoubtedly the cutest Rabi there. But then, I have a bit of a bias. ^_~

This is undoubtedly in defense of either Linali or Miranda's honor. ^_~ (I'm just a good old fashioned lover b---er, knight errant.)
Then, because somebody had to, Linali asked for some LaviYu (why am I always the bottom, hmm? >_____> I HATE ALL OF YOU). I told her it'd work out better if we switched Rabis...no offense to that guy. But somehow I prefer this one:
...you know, since our uniforms match and all. ^_~
...then, like any good old-fashioned cosplay meet, it dissolved into fanservice.
...Apparently, I have quite a few rivals for Allen's affections.

In the end, I think the author wants him with Linali. (But Komui has a rather dissenting opinion.)
...and me with...wut. STUPID FLOWER.

Went back to the con to pick up Linali from the Detective Conan movie (lawls~) and one of Rabi's friends.
...And then down the street for the obligatory Mexican foods. Somehow, we end up at this restaurant every year. But then, Mexican food within walking distance is always win.
Ready to pass out after that, but walked down the street to take some more pictures first.
Maintaining her title as Cutest Thing Ever.
For next year's calendar. ^_~
