Yeah~ For real. In a fit of randomness, mid-NaCo, we went out to redeem the Groupon I'd bought a million years before for the fondue place that Roy's best friend likes. Because, hey, try everything once, right?
03/16: The Melting Pot
...The cheese bit really was the best part. Which is probably why that's what most people think when you say 'fondue', rather than 'European shabu-shabu'. But the whole experience was cool, in an expensive-thing-I-probably-won't-do-again kind of way.
...I guess I'm kind of boring in that I usually eat out because I actively don't feel like cooking for myself. This is the reason fast food exists. I want someone else to cook it and give it to me. So~ The appeal of being handed raw vegetables and boiling water instead is kind of sadly lost on me.
But it was lovely to look at~
Our waiter was totally awesome and very patient with all our questions, which made the whole experience a lot less daunting.
And then, dessert!
HE LIT IT ON FIRE~!
...I think, deep in my heart, I have always wanted to eat something that somebody just set on fire in front of me. It was appropriately satisfying.
...and that's the last non-NaCo thing to happen in March, at least until the bitter end. ^_^;;; Sorry gaiz~
