Man, the internet is slow today. And I am falling further and further behind on pictures, even as summer begins to warm up its endless stream of events. But lately the thought process as been "I want to talk about my life!...But then I'll feel weird attaching random old photos. And I'm so behind on photos. SO I JUST WON'T POST ANYTHING."
So today I decided, screw it, I'm just going to do both. Because there's two skip days in this picture post anyway. SO WHATEV'~
Last Thursday I got two new students at BYB - an adorable 4th grade boy and a six-year-old girl who makes my former craziest-student look dangerously cooperative. It's a really funny thing to find yourself coaxing work out of a kid in your second language.
"Let's write 'snake'. Can you write it for me? No, please don't do that. That doesn't go in your nose. Look, let's just start with an 'S'. Can you write 'S'? No? Don't you think your mom will be unhappy if we don't finish your homework? No? No, please don't put that in your nose---"
ALL IN JAPANESE.
Won't my professors be proud.
Let me just tell you, I'll never forget the word 'hanamizu' in all my life. -_______-; Also great that although my job is to help her with and expose her to English, every time I speak English she responds with an adorably aggravating "ぜんぜんわかない~"
This week (after climbing poor Chie like a jungle gym and trying to literally run away from me), she refused to work unless we sat on the floor. At least this week she didn't roll her eyes back and go all "ユウウウウウウレイイイイイイイ~" on me. I am sorely lacking in Pokemon vocabulary. She didn't seem willing to let me explain her book to her with gestures. Sorry, kid, I don't know how to say "Pikachu dodged and then smashed Onix with a THUNDERBOLT!" in Japanese. Shame on me.
Why can't she just like FMA?
Meanwhile, finally sent in two Japan applications. Now, just got to force myself to write 1600 words worth of essays (500 x 2 + 300 x 2) so I can send in the other three. It think the James English School may fall by the wayside. The more I look at it the more it looks weird to me.
...I guess that's it for now. Got to run to kickboxing~! This class is one of my new favorite things. *______* Workin' out that aggression! ...Or something.
...ZOMG I'm so worried about Fanime, and it isn't even about sewing. But I will talk about that later.
PICTURES NAO:
02/01: Shiba-inu~! (At least, I think so?) This is the kind of dog I want. <3 They get rave reviews from everybody. AND THEY'RE SO CUTE.
02/02: Apparently the other six people we didn't know we were meeting never showed up. ^_^;;; (For some reason, El Torito felt we needed this huge table.)
And I ate fajitas for the first time! SO GOOD.
02/03: A cool idea, although the seam on the bottle kind of ruins it. I love this tea *_* It used to be that you couldn't find it anyplace, but now~ Slowly but surely. Oh, my tea<3
02/04: FAIL. (#3)
02/05: My tea just keeps talking to me.
02/06: FAIL. (#4) Apparently, February was not a good month for pictures. -_-;
02/07: Chinese New Year! Perhaps a larger percentage of my family on this side than is ever present all at once. Just missing an aunt, an uncle and a cousin (who is in China, so~ Maybe my other cousin's girlfriend is standing in).
...And that's that~ Woo, I need to write some more of these. And be more interesting so people will care. LOL~
P.S. No,
epiic, I don't like that picture, but it's my fault for not sending you the other ones like I said I would, because I'm awful like that. Hence, my punishment. ^_^;;; I have the worst profile ever.
