but as i was telling hung, i saw a rlly pretty group of japanese girls wearing yukata and i asked to take a picture with them and its totally going to be my facebook profile picture when i get home lol. they were all so cute. so if your cousin is prettier, id want to meet her lol...
o and i have my own yukata too lol...and more geta! but theyre too small for me and hurt so bad...
did u guys celebrate tanabata? o wait thats today....well its a lot lamer of a holiday than i thought itd be. its not even rlly a celebration...you just write your wishes on pieces of paper and tie them to bamboo...i wrote like 63483 different wishes and i made some into cranes to decorate the bamboo lol. you should help me finish my senbazuru.
well i cant wait for real japanese holidays to celebrate...i wanna practice my 1+1 and shiawase samba!! haha i love japanese obon dancing lol. anyways, theres a tv show about donkeys on right now so im gonna watch it...

OMG 1+1 best dance ever. i used to know all of the dances when i went to the practices one summer. that one was totally my favorite. jeanine and erin and i used to have races on the track thing and see how many times we could get around. i'm glad you found a yukata that fits you. is it like a really nice one or one of the cotton ones? Do guys wear the nice silk stuff? i had this pretty silk one from my great grandma and it ripped while i was dancing at the venice obon one year :( oh yeah and i'll have to ask my mom about mina (who's not my cousin, btw. she's the daughter of my mom's best friend from middle school) cause i dunno if she emailed back. GUESS WHAT erin just found 4 kittens in my backyard. apparently she was "doing origami in a patch of sunlight" and the mom cat growled at her with one of the babies in her mouth and erin found the rest behind a tree. oh and i have no idea what tanabata is. tell mari hi for me when you see her! we should have made her a gigantic card or something. also, we can make waffles at 6 am when you get back cause you're right that was a really fun day even though we were all really tired
its just a cotton yukata but its a lot nicer than i expected...and i think only women have silk ones. im not sure tho. but it seems like that.
and ya, 1+1 rocks and i hope they do it here...but there are a lot less festivals here than there were in little tokyo lol. its like little tokyo created events to celebrate because real japan isnt that eventful =[

oh and i already saw mari first 3days i was in japan and ill see her again last 4days so ill tell her then for you haha.
and yay, ill be looking forward to the next waffle party =] if we do it before i readjust to jetlag i will be able to stay up all night no problem lol. haha. anyways, i should probably go study or something. i need to learn to read out loud better....which was my problem in ENGLISH too. i freakin cant read out loud and its rlly embarrassing when i try to in japanese now. i used to be better than this but i didnt practice at all before i came over here...
i planned on studying like all may and june but in the end i only studied for like 2hrs on the 11 hr plane flight...im good, i know lol.
i havent seen any twins yet here either. i thought that was kinda strange but ill find some one day.
oh, and i guess ill meet your mom's middle school best friend's daughter....hahaha. ok ya
