Tsukiyono,

Sorry but I had to go out for a moment. Conrad is safe inside. If you drop by while I'm gone, can you just wait a moment?

Tsuzuki

...but Tsuzuki never returned for the night...

Fuzzy Memory

Mitsune: "Hmmm." She smiled, resting her free hand over his. "I'm glad that you weren't, for what it's worth. Dead before thirty, I mean." She giggled nervously.

Tseng: Tseng nodded. "It is a company record, in fact." Every other Turk had died at twenty nine or earlier- in a few weeks he would be thirty. Rufus kept mentioning a party of some form. With... candles. At that thought, he grimaced, and took another drag of the cigerette.

Mitsune: "Yeesh," she shuddered. "That's rather unpleasant." She sighed, shaking her head. "What am I supposed to do with you, huh?"

Tseng: "Do with me?" he asked, confused.

Mitsune: She snorted, shaking her head yet again. "Never mind, it's not important." Having finished her cigarette, she lit another one with the butt of the old one before crushing it out on her shoe and pocketing it. She could never bring herself to sully the prettily manicured lawn.

Najica: She was surprised that she was able to keep her cool while heading to a situation like this. But, Najica could do nothing about it. It was driving her crazy and there was no doubt in her mind that she had to do this. She peeked over at Tsuzuki as she drove before taking a deep breath and parking on the side of the road right next to Tseng's house. After turning off the ignition, she shucks off her jacket and tosses it into the back of the car before opening her door and standing. It was time to face reality.

Tsuzuki: He looked over his shoulder at the driver and gave a heavy sigh. Against his better judgement, he had let Najica get out of the house. She was still badly injured, but there was no point in stopping an overly determined person from walking into a trap. All he thought of at the moment was that when the time comes, he'll have to somehow find a way out. With great resolve, he turned to face the driver. "Are you sure about this? I still think you should wait until you have recoveredc"

Tseng: Tseng watched the car drive down the street more out of habit than anything else. When the car slowed and parked in his driveway, he stiffened, tugging Mitsune from the rail and pushing her behind him, one hand on the glock, now holstered to his right so that he could draw left, hidden inside his jacket. When he saw Najica step from the vehicle, the gun was drawn, the safety removed, though he did not immediately fire. He let his arm hand loosely to his side, waiting for her next movement.

Mitsune: Startled by Tseng's sudden movement, and further unnerved by the sight of his gun, Mitsune's heart thudded in her chest, but she forced herself to maintain a semblance of calm. "W-what's wrong?" Hard as she tried, she couldn't keep the tremor out of her voice.

Tseng: "Stay back" Was Tseng's reply, voice commanding. "If something happens, do not get involved. You are to go inside and get Kadaj and Yazoo out the back. Understand?" He had no idea what the hell Najica thought she was doing here.

Mitsune: Swallowing hard, she nodded. "Okay.." Worst case scenario, and something did happen, she hoped that Kadaj and Yazoo would actually listen to her if she told them to run. She hoped even more that she could maintain enough composure to do so in the first place.

Najica: Najica walked around the car to stand in the walkway a few feet away from her car. She gazed at Tseng for a moment, seeing that he was ready to fight if need be. She said nothing for the time, before she takes in a deep breath and strengthens her resolve. " "You've been looking for me." No assumption, it's a matter of fact, "Well, I'm here."

Tsuzuki: Tsuzuki got out of the car slowly staying unusually close to Najica as the two approached the porch. Despite his stern expression, his eyes gave away that he was both scared at sad. He was not scared that he would be wounded; but was scared for the safety of two of his colleagues that he has come to know, like, and respect. The thought that two of his friends may possibly kill each other was slowly consuming his mind. The most frustrating part was that he could do nothing to stop them. It was just a misunderstanding. Why should Tseng be so angry at Najica when it was not her choice to go after his associates in the first place? Should Tseng direct his rage to CRI-or whatever it is called? There was a very slim chance that today all the misunderstanding can be cleared upcmaybecjust maybec He shook his head in a vain attempt to clear his thoughts. "Hmmm..." he began. "Hello..." he said uneasily.

Tseng: Tseng watched for any sign of movement, eyeing Tsuzuki with a mixture of exasperation and regret. Of course he would come as well. Yes. Najica was here. And standing but a dozen feet from him. He itched to simply shoot her there, but controlled himself, nodding an abrupt hello at Tsuzuki. He met her eyes, his own dark and unfathomable. "Why?"

Tsuzuki: "I would like to ask the same thing myself," he began in a strained voice. "Why must everyone shoot everyone elsec" He looked at Tseng directly in the eyes. "I don't want you two to shoot each other." He said bluntly. "If you must kill someone to make yourself feel better, then I am volunteering to be the target."

Tseng: "You are not involved, Asato. To shoot you would be fruitless." The man was frustrating, and far too personally involved. "Do not interfere."

Mitsune: Mitsune simply cowered, hoping with all of her might that no one would be getting shot at all.

Tsuzuki: Tsuzuki turned away. It didn't really matter if he was directly involved or not. Any problem of someone he cares about is his problem. To be shot in place of Tseng or Najic...that wouldn't be so bad.

Najica: With a deep sigh, Najica forces herself not to place a palm to her face. It was to be expected... but... she needed to get this over with. She stood forward and whispers to Tsuzuki, "... please, let me handle this Tsuzuki. I need to clear this up." She glances to him for a moment before looking back at Tseng, "... You ask why? ... because I don't like to run from problems."

Tseng: Tseng bit back the anger that rose at such idle words and stepped off the porch, stopping but a few feet from Najica. His face was expressionless as the gun rose to point at her chest. "Idle words, Hiiragi. And pathetic. Tell me, is there a single reason I will not shoot you dead right now?"

Tsuzuki: With instinct, he quickly made his way between Najica and the gun wrapping Najica around his arms and using his back to shield her should Tseng try to shoot. He shut his eyes tightly in anticipation of pain to come.

Mitsune: Her knees giving out, Mitsune fell back against the railing, sliding down to the ground where she pulled her knees up to her chest and hid her face against them.

Najica: If the gun to her chest phased her, she didn't make it shown. Najica's mouth opens up to say something, when she feels herself behind shielded by Tsuzuki. Why had she agreed to do this? Oh, right. To make things right, "Tsuzuki! Let me go!"

Tsuzuki: Despite Najica's plea, he refused to let go. He knew Najica must have had a gun on her somewhere and in such a tense situation, she might as well pull it out and aim it at Tseng-something equally unacceptable. He shook his head. "No." he said determinedly. There was no way he would let anyone else get hurt.

Tseng: "You would hide behind an innocent, Hiiragi?" Tseng asked, voice scathing.

Tsuzuki: "Stop it! This is stupid!" Tsuzuki yelled angrily.

Najica: Najica's eyes flash with a brief anger at Tseng's remark, but, more so that she should of expected Tsuzuki to do something so... idiotically noble, "... Let go, Tsuzuki." Her voice was hard and almost chilling, "... If it were stupid I wouldn't have done this, now let go!" She was giving him one more chance to pull away from her because he was her friend.

Tsuzuki: It suddenly dawned on him that people who carry guns must have developed some menacing ego to think they have the right to murder and injure one another. "No!" he said insistently gripping onto Najica's shoulder even tighter-perhaps so tight as to bruise it, but it did not matter at the moment. "This is stupid. What will pointing a gun do at this point in time anyways!" he yelled. "If killing is so comforting then why don't you shoot me instead, because frankly, I really shouldn't be alive right now!"

Tseng: Tseng closed the distance between them with a few short steps, bringing the gun abruptly against the back of Tsuzuki's head, a movement he'd done thousands of times, and one that rarely needed to be repeated. A grunt of breath from Tsuzuki and the ban started to topple backwards. Tseng shifted, catching the younger man with his right arm and ignoring how it pulled at his injury. He kept the glock aimed on Najica, in case she used the interruption to her advantage, but the woman remained still as he carefully lowered the unconscious Tsuzuki to the ground and straightened. "You should not have brought him here. But you can not hide behind him any longer."

...and all went black...
