Feel free to ignore xD;;;; Just some after-thoughts while I accept reality again...
Actually, I have only one picture to share from the night, and this post is not really my fangirling, but more of the events that sort of upset me. I dunno, I just wish that certain things wouldn't happen, but all things happen for a reason, whether good or bad...
Last Friday, two of the members Leeteuk and Heechul arrived in Singapore first, and was immediately stalked by fans. I always knew that stalking idols is dangerous business. And now... I'm
proven right?!
And then, during the first day of the concert,
another member, Yesung gets hit by things thrown onto stage?! I knew that during their shows, fans do this. But I always feared that these things actually have the potential to take a wrong landing onstage (and on-boy instead). And again, I'm proven right..?
Such things happening, are beyond the control of anyone, but they wouldn't have happened if everyone took more caution, right? I can hardly call myself an ELF (Ever-Lasting Friend; the name of Super Junior's fans), but that doesn't mean I'm not a fan! I really love Super Junior, but the idol industry isn't an easy one to figure out. The boys work really hard despite all that they've been through.
It makes me disappointed that now, the whole world might think that Singaporean ELFs are... Really brutal? I dunno what is the right word to use, but it's definitely not a positive word. That's really not nice at all... I mean, it already feels so surreal that the show is/was in Singapore. It's even more surreal that when I browse online, the fanpics all have the "SS3 Singapore" text stamp on them (I am too used to looking at "SS3 Seoul", or "SS3 Bangkok"). And now, it feels a little too real that these events actually happened, and the reactions... Are reasonable - I expected them....
Despite these happenings though, the boys gave a wonderful show. Everyone was clearly enjoying themselves. I did. I actually had mixed feelings at the end of the show. Largely because of the reality I that I have to return to after it's all over.... :(
But during the show, I really did feel happiness. I felt really lucky to be there. I wasn't doing the fan-chants (sorry?), nor did I wave any banner or lightstick (again, sorry?). But I did what I ALWAYS do for all the artists that I have ever watched in concert live (and will continue to do, even if I'm the only one in the whole audience to do it): I sang along loudly to every single song, enjoyed myself, and clapped loudly at the end of every song. To me, this is how I show appreciation to the artists that I love. To me, this is the only way that I can tell them how much I love them. Well. Of course I went a little too fangirl-y and called out the members' names when they were near me, and waved at them as if they could catch my eye. *slaps self* But in those moments, that was really what I wanted to do. xD....
Well! Enough of the reflective mood; the SHOW was awesome!! I have TONS to share, but I have to sieve through my batch of pictures and pick out the better ones. xD As I mentioned before, only a select few will be up before I go for hiatus. I leave you with the one picture that had me gawking with a :O face. I was :O at first, but later it made me smile. It still does! :)
