MoTF update: four drawings and a story snippet

Apr 30, 2007 23:49

Whoo, some MoTF stuff at last! And there's more still in the works. For now though, four pictures and a story snippet.

A little slashy, but everything should be worksafe. There is a threesome pic (Nathaniel/Jean-Marie/Julien), but it's incredibly tame.

"Lost" (taking place at least half way through MoTF)

When it came to being lost in North American territory with the enemy, Nathaniel would be loath to point out a bright side. As far as he was concerned, there was none. However as his journey with Dimitri sped onward, Nathaniel was forced to admit that his situation was not entirely awful (it could've been worse). Once the weather had eventually gentled, this New World could even display a certain kind of beauty, especially the skies at night.

In London it had often been too foggy and overcast to view anything overhead, and sailing voyages wouldn't have mattered either since seasickness left Nate too unsettled to appreciate anything save dry land. The only good opportunity Nathaniel had had at stargazing had been at his station in Nova Scotia. However, in all his time there, it had never occurred to the British captain to bother looking up.

Now lying on his back with his hands folded behind his head, Nathaniel could see the stars spread out in all their glory, like a glittering crystal mosaic. Merrington was even able to recall the positions of a few constellations and distinguish them from the mass of stars. Orion...Draco...

There was something comforting, calming about the night sky like this, and at length Nathaniel rolled over on his side to sleep. Dimitri lay next to him, barely a foot away. Blue eyes fell on the sleeping Frenchman's countenance, and Nathaniel decided with wry amusement that he didn't really mind being in such close proximity to Dimitri. Perhaps he was even a bit fond of the other man. However, that was a thought for another day, and pulling his coat more comfortably over him, Nathaniel drifted off to sleep.

"Anglais x Francais x Anglais"

"Brothers"
Nathaniel and Robin are really an interesting pair of friends. They are quite opposite, but they get along well. Before he met (and eventually fell in love with) Dimitri, Nathaniel always felt most comfortable around Robin. The two of them are also good for each other: Robin tries to get Nate to loosen up and have more fun, and Nathaniel is Robin's (oft ignored) voice of moderation and propriety.
(Oh, and that fugly mess behind them is supposed to be a ship, probably the Redoubtable. -_-')

And finally some random Nathaniels because I love drawing him. *heart*

Also, I am plotting to dress up as Commodore Norrington for the third PotC movie, and I managed to find a decent wig in a costume shop in Salem, MA this weekend; not The Best Wig Ever, but it shall suffice. ;3
