tokyo day 13

Okay. Last post of my Tokyo trip!

Day... where were we? 13? In which I met up with faiee and went to Swallowtail Cafe! :D
faiee had plans to go to Arashi's Waku Waku Gakkou that morning, which I couldn't justify in my budget, so in order to make the best use of my last day in Tokyo, I... went to Harajuku again. :Dbb This is when I took all those pictures of the idol shops, actually. And found some cute earrings for my sister's birthday!

Also, a quick lunch of yet another combini onigiri and the best milk tea (#6) I've had yet! I think it was Kochakaden? So good~ Topped off with some baby castella samples from a booth by Yoyogi Park.

No dancers in front of the park that day, so I decided to visit Meiji Jingu instead.

The long, peaceful walk into the shrine.

Where there is pretty much guaranteed to be a wedding going on no matter what day you visit. I think there were at least three wedding couples there, in various stages of the ceremony.

I said a quick prayer of thanks for a good trip, and headed out one of the side paths, little knowing that this would not take me back the way I came...

...but rather out the back end of the park halfway to Yoyogi station.

Well then! On to Yoyogi station!

Which was totally worth it just for this adorable doggie~

Awwwwwwwwww~

To Ikebukuro!

I still had a bit of time, so I wandered around the Book Off again and found a cheap copy of freebird :)

Then it was time to meet faiee! Since we completely forgot to take pictures, here is the Starbucks instead.
It was really nice to hang out with another fan in Japan! Admittedly, I'm not the most talkative person and I think I was pretty nervous :P But we went to Mandarake and K-Books (and I bought yet another looks Nakatsu doujinshi) and poured over the new TV magazines together, and then hung around the Swallowtail entrance until it was time for our reservation.

(The only part of the cafe you're allowed to take a picture of :P)

If you're not familiar with it, Swallowtail is a butler cafe where you get to be treated like royalty by pretty boys in tuxedos who speak super-polite Japanese to you and bow at every turn and do almost everything for you except actually feed you the food (unlike a maid cafe). Neither faiee nor I had been before, so we were super curious to see what it was like ^^ And it was a lot of fun! A little surreal at first, since all the staff bow to you as soon as you walk in and greet like you're coming home to your mansion for teatime. Our footman was Touya, the one in the middle, who was a little stiff and nervous at first and then won us over later on by studying English phrases on a little memo pad as he hurried from table to table.

The food! I ordered the Anna Maria set (picture swiped from the official site), which consisted of dainty mini-sandwiches (ham and cheese, avocado shrimp, and chocolate mousse and fruit), a black tea scone (yummmm), and three mini desserts (strawberry cheesecake square, coconut cream puff, and mango amanatsu jelly).

For tea, I ordered an Earl Grey called Charles, which came in a tea cup that matched my skirt :3
After a quick visit to the powder room (which involved both of us being too nervous to ring the little bell for our server to guide us there), we were greeted by the older butler (far left below, with the monocle and beard), who complimented our big happy smiles and told us to be very careful in the rain and was every inch the perfect trustworthy butler you'd want to have greeting you home. I think he was my favorite, even though we only saw him the few minutes before and after our meal :3

All in all, totally fun! I'm glad I got to go with someone the first time, or I would've been too nervous to eat XD But I can definitely see myself going back again someday...
After that, faiee had to rush off to Shibuya for Shingo's play, so we headed our separate ways (until someday! :D/). At which point we realized we hadn't taken any pictures XD Ah well...

Last meal of the trip, somen noodles with my host family :)

And that was my trip to Tokyo, finally finished over a month later XD Can't wait to be able to go again... when I can afford it! Guess I should swear off any more doujinshi in the future :P
