Gravitation/The Hobbit/Xiaolin Showdown
Goddamit, I haven’t posted here in a such a long time! But strangely I haven’t read as many fics? I read books and watched a lot of anime. More than I saw in a whole year tbh. But I am back now with a fresh dose of fics, and try updating fic recs every Sunday, how I used to.
Title: Quite the effect

Summary: Yuki's editor would like to see the manuscript right now, thanks much, and there is no time for Shuichi's piffly interruptions.
Why: This was sitting on my usb drive since June I think . Anyway, I FINALLY finished reading Gravitation (yes, it took me waaaay linger than it should. I had other things shut up) and I, being myself wanted fic. Of course. But to my surprise there was new fic! never mind that I have a full word document with a bajilion fics saved to recs. nope new stuff. This is short but very entertaining and cute. The voices are in character, and I really like when this couple is written like that. Wacko, crazy and unpredictable, but it works out in the end.
Title: Twelve Million Japanese Women Can't Be Wrong♥

Summary: Yuki's newest novel was really easy to write, but this whole releasing to the public thing is a bit more problematic.
Why: This is a sequel to the previous fic, where Yuki writes a fully homoerotic novel and unconsciously takes "inspiration" from his own life. I said that I like when this couple is written as wacko, but I also like when there is a smidge of angst and realism in their interactions, because that is how it was in the manga/anime.

Summary: Yuki tries to finish up a novel in Shuichi’s absence and discovers that admitting you have a problem is the first step to all hell breaking loose.
Why: I think this one is my favorite from the bunch. Yuki can't write if Shuichi is not there, so he calls him and orders him to talk. It's cute and hilarious and very IC.

Summary: Shuichi has to get up for work despite a late night, and Yuki does not feel bad at all about it.
Why:Cute and fun little prony fic, where Yuki and Shuichi lost themselves for a while and it’s cute and sweet and very satisfying.
Title: Half of Me

Pairing: Thorin/Bilbo
Summary: Thorin Oakenshield, now King Under the Mountain, rules Erebor with Bilbo Baggins by his side. Not everyone is happy with his choice.
Why:This a very interesting take on post battle of five armies au. I won’t spoil it, but it’s a very bittersweet and ambiguous little ficlet.

Summary: Bilbo, more or less by accident, had become a collector of rings. Gollum’s ring he kept in his pocket, safely hidden away, but another he wore-never mind that it was far too large, and always slipping off his finger.
“It suits you,” Thorin said, and took Bilbo’s hands in his. “There. Now you hold all that is dear to me.”
Why: Now this fic is more of my cup of tea, because it’s cute and sweet and has a happy au ending, with sunshine and rainbows and marriage proposals.

Summary: Even the sunlight in the Shire was brighter and more lively.
Why: This is a one shot continuation to the Courtig Habits verse. Thorin and Bilbo go on vacation to the shire and they are both so disgustingly happy and sweet. I needed this fic after the angst fest that was the last trailer UGH.

Summary: Evil needs its rest and Chase hates teddy bears.
Why: It seems that a lot of my old fandoms are coming back to haunt me. Xiaolin did something which I never thought it would. It came back. People are fighting weather it deserves their praise or scron, but me? I am just happy that I can see those characters again. It also makes me remember my time in the fandom, seven years ago, when I ate up every chase/jack fic like candy. A pairing that started as a sorta crack ship, sorta a ship to annoy my then…friend, turned into something waaaay serious. Anyway, this fic, like the majority of the good ckack fics, was written by this one talented author. It’s also a fic which I have re-read the most often, because it’s a one shot and because it’s super, super hot.

Pairing: Chase Young/Jack Spicer
Summary: Omi should never have allowed Jack to learn of his fear of squirrels.
Why: Another one by silvarbelle, a cute and funny little fic, of Jack being a lovable, little snot. This fic is always amusing and cute. I also love of she always creates enough backstory and expands on the already rich and interesting mythos.

Why: This is a second porny one shot which I love to re-read a few times. It’s impossibly filthy and I just don’t care! It’s great and wonderful. It also has the not so nice Chase, which I love a lot tbh.
