  Equal parts neurotic and smartass, Sollux Captor is a bifurcated hot mess of psionics, freaky prophetic voices of the imminently deceased, and a lisp. He's got a thing for dualism of the non-philosophic variety, and expresses this through hii2 typiing quiirk and his penchant for all things red and blue, among other things. Sollux is a computer programming extraordinaire and a hacker of totally sick proportions, his opinion of which ranges from 'indisputable fact' to 'total hoofbeastshit' depending on his mood. He's a bit of a manic, and victim to some pretty gnarly episodes that only the most patient of trolls can withstand, or, in his best bro Karkat's case, those who are either too dumb or too stubborn to do otherwise. Or both. Yeah, both.
  
  In that vein, Feferi Peixes, the heiress apparent to the Alternian throne, happens to be one of the select few who is capable of persevering the troll typhoon that is Sollux Captor. She is the enthusiastic yin to his pessimistic yang, combating his debilitating cynicism with optimism. Coincidentally, her personality is strikingly similar to that of Aradia Megido prior to her murder at Sollux's manipulated hands, a troll with whom Sollux was rumored to have been romantically involved with. Though how he felt about slaughtering Aradia is never exclusively stated, it's at least evident that Vriska, the troll that orchestrated the disaster, by far did not make his list of People Sollux Tolerates. A list of which could be written in its entirety on a postage stamp. Taking Sollux's misanthropic attitude into consideration, this is comes as a surprise to absolutely no one.
  
  This standoffish approach is not limited only to his troll companions. Contrary to Karkat's eagerness to harass the four humans he is convinced is the source of their imminent doom, Sollux thinks the whole plan is kiind of juveniile. He only goes so far as to set up the networking that allows them to communicate trans-universally, but refuses to actively partake in any trolling. He wasn't always like this according to Kanaya, who remarked that it was once she who had to deflect his relentless "nonsense". But that was before he knew they were all going to die. And no one believed him. And now look at them all. All believing him suddenly HMM UNCANNY.
  
  All things considered, Sollux Captor is an exceptionally maladjusted young douchebag who, half the time, cannot be assed. Nevertheless, when confronted with the right brand of people, he is capable of nerding it up with the best of them.
