It definitely hasn't put me off :P. Thanks for answering. I've been looking into neuroscientific and biochemical (my field of study) explanations etc for our hard-wiring. Andrew Newberg has interesting pieces of research on this topic. I'll look out for the author you mentioned.

For me, personally, I'm not interested in religion as such. I'm more interested in the question of God's existence. I'm trying to find the answer to that question though I know philosophers have looked at this question for a long, long time.

I find this statement you made very interesting as it's true to a large extent

"I would therefore suggest that your disquiet is not so much due to any hole that's filled by God, but rather, due to a hole that's filled by what I'll call religion; that is, dedication to a higher cause, the quest for the experience of transcendence, and so on."
I think humans don't want to be living mundane lives with the purpose everyone else has i.e raising their kids and getting educated. They want something more.

What about you? I know you stated on your YT page you could be called theist, deist, agnostic, atheist etc etc etc and the person calling you those terms would be correct in a sense, but where do you stand right now on the God's existence debate? And I have to ask this one because everyone's answer is always different: if you came back to life to find God exists, what would you say?

Anyways, I'll be looking out for your videos.
Thanks for answering!
